Craftsmanship

INDEN products are handcrafted by Japanese artisans using traditional methods. Each INDEN accessory is carefully checked and packed one by one into small gift boxes for the ultimate experience. Given our long history, each INDEN artisan possesses knowledge and skill passed down generation after generation.

Lacquering

INDEN lacquering technique involves the use of hand-cut stencils laid over dyed deerskin that is centuries old and was imperative to the look of the Samurai. This technique, which is key to producing INDEN's unique and alluring textures, is a family tradition that has been treasured for generations.

Fusube

INDEN accessories feature heavy pigments that gives each and every piece a deep hue. Known as the Fusube technique, this foundation which is created by setting deerskin on a cylindrical frame, which is then smoked gives our products their a natural color.
